In only her third collegiate appearance, Smith posted a total score of 12-under 201, securing a substantial five-stroke lead over Manassanan Chotikabhukkana of Tennessee, who carded rounds of 70-67-69 to finish as the runner-up at 7-under 206.

Smith’s 201 score not only sealed her victory but also established a new Mercedes-Benz Intercollegiate record. It also ranks as the third-best 54-hole score in UCF’s storied history.

Heading into the final round with a narrow one-shot lead, Smith had accumulated a total of 6-under 136 from her rounds of 66 and 70. In the decisive moments, she displayed exceptional skill, recording an impressive eight birdies in the final round, including a remarkable 6-under on the back nine.

Notably, Smith secured her individual victory with an extraordinary streak of five consecutive birdies on Holes No. 13 through 17 during the back nine. Smith led all competitors in the tournament with a total of 15 birdies, and her final-round 65 ties for the fifth-best 18-hole score in the program’s history.

In the team competition, UCF, represented by Molly Smith, Jess Baker, Brittany Shin, Tunrada Piddon, and Camille Banzet, showcased outstanding teamwork, posting rounds of 271-291-273 for a commanding 12-stroke victory, securing a total score of 17-under 835.

The University of Mississippi claimed the runner-up position with rounds of 284-285-278, finishing at 5-under 847.

Maryland and Pepperdine shared the third place, each finishing with even-par 852.
