Knights lose fourth straight to Stony Brook, 55-48

The Knights men’s basketball team lost their fourth straight game on Monday night, falling to Stony Brook 55-48. The Mustangs shot poorly from the field, shooting just 33.3% from the field and 3-of-21 from three-point range. They led 43-35 in rebounding and 18-4 at the free throw line.

“We didn’t hit our shots,” said Cavaliers head coach Kevin Baggett.” The players I had high hopes for, they’re not coming to help us right now.”

The Knights were led by Mervin James with 19 points and Corey McKeithan with 10.

Baggett said he’s not giving up on the season and that the team will be making changes to the lineup. He also said the Thanksgiving holiday will be a good time for players to reflect on their performance.

“We’ll all go back and self-reflect,” Baggett said.” That’s it. We’ll be fine.”

The Cavaliers will play Maryland on 28 November.
